Navigating Histamine Intolerance by yourself is a minefield.

The following guides contain need-to-know information, explained in simple terms.

What is Histamine Intolerance?

Histamine helps regulate various body functions such as immune response, digestion, inflammation, sexual function, blood pressure/vasodilation, muscle contraction, thermoregulation, wakefulness and neuromodulation.

Be aware, that histamine intolerance can manifest in a wide range of symptoms. If you're battling with overall fatigue, food and environmental sensitivities, chills, sweats, general muscular and bone pain, itching, flushing, hives, easy bruising, hair loss and eczema, you might be dealing with this intolerance. Moreover, cardiovascular symptoms like chest pains, fast heartbeat, heart palpitations, dizziness and low blood pressure, and digestive symptoms such as constipation, diarrhoea, cramping, abdominal pain, vomiting, malabsorption, IBS, food sensitivities, and allergies are also prevalent. These symptoms can be distressing and can vary over days and weeks. If you're experiencing any or some of these symptoms, it's possible you have histamine intolerance.

It's important to understand that the goal is not to eliminate all histamine from the body but to maintain a balance. Histamine can be beneficial when it's balanced but harmful when there's too much of it. When dealing with histamine intolerance, taking a holistic approach is crucial, considering the entire body and what contributes to or reduces its overproduction.
